We think the one reason why people say 3D TV isn't that good at home is the fact that at the cinemas, your field of vision is completely taken up with the image, and thus the 3D is covering both your direct and peripheral vision.

LED versus LCD and Plasma

What else do you need to say about LED when it makes standard def Foxtel look 50% better than either LCD or plasma? We have never seen Foxtel look as good as it did on an LED. 100Hz, 200Hz, yadda yadda yadda. You can add what you like to old technology, but it will only give minor improvements on a basic picture. The VisionMount MF215 is a full-motion wall mount for 15" – 37" flat-panel TVs. Sanus Systems’ Virtual Axis 3D™ technology allows mount to tilt, swivel, pan and extend with fluid motion in every direction possible up to 15" from the wall. Full motion allows easy viewing from multiple angles, and adjustment knob enables TV to move easily while maintaining tension for the perfect viewing angle. Keyholes on faceplate slide onto TV and into place for effortless bracket alignment and easy installation. Includes two VESA-compatible TV brackets: large bracket fits 200 x 200, 200 x 100 and 100 x 100; small bracket fits 100 x 100 and 75 x 75 to accommodate virtually any 15" – 37" LCD TV or monitor up to 60 lbs.

A nice simple bracket for LCD screens up to 32". It has such an easy tilting system that even if you don't mount the wall plate straight, you can correct the level when the screen is extended. Great for amateur installers.

We have tried mounting these brackets with 37" screens but found a little too much stress for the bracket, which may result in wear on the swivel joint, especially with continuous movement.

The only real drawback is that it only has two vertical mounting holes. So for a timber frame wall, you may be a little restricted with the horizontal positioning. It does have the advantage of allowing for an offset in horizontal positioning, whilst still allowing for maximum swivel.
